I made this pear and cinnamon puree again today for the first time in ages.  George has been chomping away with his flashy teeth on slices of ripe pear, mango, peaches and banana, but mixing this puree through his cereal in the morning apparently makes it much much tastier.  And the cinnamon adds a nice touch of spice.

Nutrition Note:  It’s never too early too add some spice to your baby’s food with a pinch of cinnamon in fruit purees.  Using a variety of herbs and spices will also help make the transition to family foods much easier.

I make this for my son too, but I use really ripe fruit and so I just peel and blend it, no cooking, no extra water. Am I doing something wrong by giving it to him raw?
