We’ve been looking for new and interesting ways to enjoy oranges while participating in #GoOrange this month and these yummy orange and banana smoothies are one of them.  With mangoes and berries out of season oranges and bananas are a perfect combination for smoothies during winter.  Containing vitamin C, calcium, protein, carbohydrates and protein this smoothie is a nutritious breakfast or snack option for the whole family and it has everything they need to keep their immune system strong.

Nutrition Note: Using whole oranges rather than just the juice adds a big fibre boost.

  • 1 orange, peeled and roughly chopped, removing all white pith (alternatively use the freshly squeezed juice of one orange)
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4-5 ice cubes
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)


Step 1

Combine all the ingredients together in a blender and serve. -
