I found it quite amusing at Harry’s party watching the over 60’s helping themselves to chocolate crackles. It seems this is a favourite for the young and old.Join us on Facebook for other foodie bits and pieces.


  • 4 cups Rice Bubbles (Rice Krispies)
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 250g copha, diced
  • 3 tbs cocoa


Step 1

In a large bowl, mix the Rice Bubbles, icing sugar, cocoa and coconut -

Step 2

Slowly melt the copha in a saucepan over a low heat, set aside to cool slightly -

Step 3

Add to Rice Bubbles mixture, stirring until well combined -

Step 4

Spoon mixture into paper patty tins and refrigerate until firm -
