Bring A Plate: Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
Have you ever been asked to “Bring A Plate”? Most people have, and it is a great way to divide an concur, feeding a small army or just a few friends in an economical and delicious way. An great upcoming event that just loves the ‘bring a plate’ theme is the 20th anniversary of Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea this May 23rd. There couldn’t be an easier way to help make a difference. Simply gather together your friends, family and colleagues, put the kettle on and tuck into some delicious morning tea treats.
In fact, that’s just what Rachel Chappell, Creator of North Shore Mum’s in sydney is doing. “I am organising a NSM Biggest Morning Tea (to raise money for Cancer Council). The basic idea is that everyone brings along a plate of morning tea, and makes a nice donation.”
So, a whole bunch of mums and enthusiastic toddlers let loose in an indoor play centre. Fantastic. All that’s needed is a range of lovely healthy-ish treats for everyone to enjoy. Here are our top recipes for when you need to “Bring A Plate” that’s nut free and can feed all the ages.
Guacamole Dip with Vegetable Sticks
Zucchini Leek and Ricotta Frittata

Allie, what AMAZING ideas you have come up with! Now, I just need to decide which ‘plate’ I’ll be bringing to the North Shore Mums Biggest Morning Tea.
As Allie has said, anyone in Sydney is welcome to come along. The whole of Wizzy World in Chatswood will be ‘taken over’ by the Biggest Morning Tea (and I have lots of little extra things organised too), so it should be a really fun morning.
