Making bliss balls like these date, almond and sesame balls is a fantastic cooking activity to try with the kids plus you end up with a freezer full of portable snacks, win-win!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup desiccated coconut
  • 100g raw almonds
  • ¾ cup dried pitted dates
  • ¼ cup dried apricots
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (optional)

Method

Step 1

Place the coconut in a frying pan over low-medium heat and toast until lightly golden. Set aside.

Step 2

Place the almonds in the bowl of a food processor and process until a fine crumb forms. Add the dates, apricots, cinnamon, tahini, honey and ¾ of the coconut. -

Step 3

Roll into small balls, roll in the coconut and place in the fridge for 30 minutes. -

Step 4

Storage: store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days or freeze for up to 1 month. -
