George recently decided he wanted to eat my muesli over his own breakfast cereal so I decided to make him this almond & hazelnut baby muesli. It is much more texture appropriate for him but still has some of the same flavours and goodness as mine. So, now I want to eat his muesli…

- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons dry roasted almonds (check for no salt or oil)
- 2 tablespoons dry roasted hazlenuts (check for no salt or oil)
- a pinch of cinnamon
Combine all the ingredients together in a food processor and process until you have a fine powder. (Note: Depending on your child's age, check for larger pieces of nuts as these may pose a choking hazard.)
Serving suggestion: Mix 3 tbsp of the muesli with 2 tbsp of boiling water and 2 tbsp of milk (breast milk/formula or cows milk). Leave it to stand for 20-30 minutes so the oats can soften. Mix through some natural or greek yoghurt and/or fruit puree and serve adding extra milk or water if you are after a thinner consistency. Try it warm in the winter months.
