Smooth Pumpkin & Lentil Puree
I actually made this at the same time as the Pick ‘N’ Mix Lentil Veggie Mash. I just pureed some of the leftover steamed pumpkin and lentils and voila! Too easy! I froze it in freezer trays and have served it to George several times either on its own or mixed through with the Lentil Veggie Mash or other vegetables. He enjoys it every time.
Nutrition Note: The natural sweetness of pumpkin is a perfect match for the very savoury brown lentils. This will help your baby accept and enjoy brown lentils particularly if its your first time introducing them to your bub.

- 1 cup pumpkin, chopped
- 1/2 cup tinned brown lentils, no added salt, drained and rinsed
Method
Step 1
Place pumpkin in a streamer tray over a pot of boiling water, cover and steam for 5-8 minutes or until soft. -
Step 2
Combine pumpkin and lentil puree until smooth. -
