Pick ‘N’ Mix Fruit Ice-ies
Fruit ice-ies are your go to refreshing snack this summer. Made with only a few natural ingredients (that you probably already have – winner!) there’s none of the artificial nasties or hidden preservatives that are found in many commercial ice blocks. The kids are going to love them.
Nutrition Note: Choose fresh, local and seasonal fruit to maximise taste and nutrition in these refreshing fruit sweet snacks.

- 1 banana, frozen
- ½ cup ice
- 1 orange, halved, flesh scooped out (optional to use peel as serving bowl)
- Pick 'n' mix fruit options (choose 1/2 cup of the following fruit options)
- - Strawberries, chopped
- - Blueberries
- - Raspberries
- - Watermelon
- - Orange
- - Pineapple
- - Lemon
- Note: depending on your choice of fruit you can add 1 tbsp pure maple syrup or honey* to sweeten.
- *avoid honey for children under 12 months of age.
Method
Step 1
Place banana, ice and chosen fruit option in a blender or food processor. -
Step 2
Process until you have a fine, icy consistency. -
Step 3
Serve fruit ice immediately in ‘orange half’ bowls for something different. -
