I don’t have a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder. I know it is the best way to use spices but it’s just easier for me to buy small quantities of already ground spices. What I am wondering is do the amounts stay the same? For example is 1 tspn of cumin seeds the same as 1 tspn of ground cumin? Thanks!

I can’t find white peppercorns anywhere – can you use black peppercorns or just white ground pepper?
