Inspiration: 50 Freezer Friendly Meals

By : | 6 Comments | On : March 19, 2014 | Category : Blog, Food Preparation, Food Storage, Tips from Mums

We love having freezers full of nutritious meals ready on hand to feed our growing toddlers and hungry husbands. Personally it gives me a feel good feeling knowing I can simply defrost a healthy meal in a few minutes, combine it with a few fresh ingredients and sit down to enjoy a relaxed dinner as a family, even on the busiest of evenings.  If you have an empty freezer and wish it to be full, simply be prepared and make the most of less busy evenings and weekends to cook a few meals in bulk. Eat some and freeze the left for later – you can thank us later.

Not sure what to cook to fill your freezer? When we get stuck for inspiration there’s no one better to ask than the community of One Handed Cooks on our Facebook page << join us today.

Earlier we asked, “What are nutritious meal are you cooking for the freezer this week?”

While almost all of our meals are suitable for the freezer we’ve listed 50 of our favourite recipes and reader suggestions for your own inspiration.

Fantastic list! Will definitely be working my way through those I haven’t already tried. (You might want to take the pumpkin and bacon risotto out of the vegetarian list though!!)
