Home-cooked baby food is super important to me as I know exactly what I’m feeding my kids, I can mix things up and expose them to lots of great flavours and textures, and its a huge benefit to our household budget 🙂

Home made baby food gives your child the best possible start to a healthy lifestyle. As a mum who could not breast feed but still wanted the best for my son, homemade baby food was a must!

Unfortunately breast feeding wasn’t an option for baby and I, so I’m determined to help her little body as much as I can by giving her healthy, nutritious, home made food.

Nutritional benefits aside, one of the reasons home cooked food is important to me and my family because I want to teach my children, from an early age, that food can easily be cooked from scratch.

I love bonding with my children over food. The idea that I can teach them the value of using good ingredients to create healthy, tasty meals and help them create a healthy relationship with food is extremely important to me.

Home cooking allows me to know exactly what I’m feeding my bub – and sets good habits for the future. They can develop a passion for cooking too!

Firstly, the faux-husband got an ipad only yesterday and I would love to win this ebook just so I have an excuse to use it. 🙂 as for home cooking I know how much sugar or salt goes in my kids food (hardly any) and after a life-time of being useless in the kitchen (ie. not interested) cooking is a new accomplishment and I have a ready audience ready to decorate themselves with the results.

As parents we are huge foodies who like to cook nutritious tasty meals from scratch. We think its very important to pass this on to our gorgeous little girl who started solids a couple of months ago and loves the recipes of yours we have tried so far. I like to know exactly what’s going into her food, and I love cooking for her and seeing her reaction when she tries something new. This cookbook would help us to expand our tried and tested recipes! 🙂

I like to cook my own baby food so I know exactly what I am feeding my baby from first tastes right up to toddler meals, it is more cheaper and I am providing my child a good start to a healthy diet filled with fresh and tasty ingredients.

Why is home cooked nutritious baby food important to me? Because I want to be able to give my bub the best and healthiest start to his eating life and throughout. Food can have both a postivie and negative affect on bodies, especially little ones and I want to make sure its a positive one and that my bubs new experience with food is enjoyable and benefical. Not being a very able or confident cook myself, knowing that I can follow a recipie that is nutritious and tasty is both satisfying AND reassuring! 🙂

Home cooked nutritious baby food is so important to me because it’s all about the health and well being of my most valuable ‘possessions’ – my children. I feel like a didn’t make the best foods for my son when he was starting solids and he’s such a fussy eater. Meal time was and still is at times a battle. Now, with my 2 month old I hope to do things differently by making a wide variety of healthy and nutritious foods. If only I had discovered this website when my son was first born!

It’s important to prepare foods for your baby that you know will not have artificial colours, additives and preservatives by choosing ingredients discriminately at the supermarket or growing what produce you can. It can make such a difference knowing vegies your baby is eating hasn’t been sprayed by chemicals and is being prepared without artificial assistance. And, by starting early, when you still have a say as to what they decide to eat, you will hopefully instill a lifelong love and appreciation of home-cooked foods and cooking healthily, that will continue into adulthood and will be passed onto their children and so on.

    It’s so much healthier,
    With more variety in taste,
I can freeze it in smaller portions,
So it doesn’t go to waste,
I love that I choose the texture,
    Smoother or maybe lumpier,
And that I control what goes in,
    There’s no crazy little numbers,
I also love that it is prepared with love,
    Not in a factory somewhere,
Because when it comes to my baby’s food,
    I really do care!

It’s important to me as I know what’s in the food and is much healthier than items packaged in shops. A healthy start to life early to encourage healthy eating habits in future.
